Is Free Stuff NYC legit?

Yes. Free Stuff NYC (freestuffnyc.com) is a real website that lists verified free events and places. Every listing links to the organizer’s own page and shows when we last checked it.

We never ask for money. We never ask for payment, a delivery fee, a gas fee, a deposit, gift cards, or personal financial information. Using this site is free. If something costs money to attend, it is labeled with its price and kept out of the free lists. You would pay the venue, not us.

We are not the Facebook or Reddit groups. We are not affiliated with Facebook groups, Reddit communities, or other social-media groups named “Free Stuff NYC.” Those are separate, and we don’t run them. If someone in a group asks you to pay a delivery or gas fee to receive “free stuff,” that is a common scam — not this website.

How listings get here. Before anything goes up we open the organizer’s own page (a venue, a city agency, a park, or the official ticket page), confirm the date, time, location and that it’s free, and link straight to it. We don’t copy from other listing sites. Community submissions are reviewed by hand. More on how we verify.

Who runs it. Free Stuff NYC was founded by Oral Robinson, a New Yorker who got tired of digging through stale lists to find things that are actually free.
